An exhibition dedicated to the image of music

The vinyl record sleeve is a small printed square measuring just over 30 centimetres on a side. Small in surface, but big in the hearts, so much so that some enthusiasts frame their favorite sleeves, creating a veritable gallery where, at a glance, they can already hear their favorite tracks. The graphic artist who imagines a record cover has an advantage over the visual artist subjected to the unspoken a priori of galleries and museums, because the boundless creativity of cover art, a humble genre without letters of nobility, young, fresh, candid if not ingenuous, does not have the challenge of measuring up to the weight of art history.
